Thanks for the vintage free show. I apologize for being so negative in my recent comments here, but this is on the right track to what this website needs, but not just some free content: how about something only slightly more time-consuming and decidedly more interactive? Captioning contests (with a cheap but worthy prize), trivia quizzes, and other features that would encourage Mysties to check in on a regular basis and participate and react with each other. I think we’re a lot more than a bunch of guys in red jumpsuits cleainin’ up the place, and would enjoy forming a community.

I post regularly at an American baseball website (necessitating staying up till 04:00 many a summer night), and have developed friends from overseas who have stopped off just to meet me (and, well, and to hang out in Vienna and take advantage of my cheep-n-cheerful tour guide services). Yup: I am known as Austria’s Only Baseball Fan, but I have slight suspicion that the moniker may apply to MST3K, too. I think there are a million stories out there that need to be shared: histories of how the devoted fan base got that way, and what holds us together. I know the new crew is incredibly busy, but a live webcast Q&A might also be a worthwhile experiment. But then, I’m letting my optimistic streak get in the way here: I think the Yankees are going to win tonight…
